EDF Project  LODESTAR. Live operational data enhancement for situational awareness through augmented reality.

The project “Live operational data enhancement for situational awareness through augmentedreality” (LODESTAR) will integrate augmented reality and artificial intelligence in modern, highly-efficient soldier systems. The final product will provide the interconnections between a helmet subsystem, a weapon subsystem, a torso subsystem and a set of tiny drones equipped with cameras to have an ‘eye-in-the-sky’. It will be powered by a central battery pack carried in the torso zoned. The project builds on the reference architecture developed in the EU-funded project GOSSRA (by PADR) and uses relevant standards.
